"Good night, boys."

Looks like you've all gone to sleep anyhow.  I'll check in during the morning before leaving for more demolition.

Now, time for sleep.  Wanted to bump her for one more look at those beautiful eyes.

Nice and peaceful.
We had a bad storm here last night.  Heavy rain and lightning that stayed closeby for an hour or more.  Lots of hits and power surges.  Fortunately, all of our big trees are down already  Cry .  Anyhow, it blasted our router and a few other electronics.  We were able to rig up an old router to one computer; that's how I'm here now.

You see what we finally did to remove the insulation; tore down the ceiling.  At least this way we can be rid of the nasty stuff completely, can rig the lights without climbing around in the nasty attic, and can wire the house without having to dig in the old insulation.  We're completely rewiring and replumbing (a word?).  The house is now just a shell.  Me too!  Grin

Add yesterday to the 4 or 5 days each summer that I wish I had AC.  The house (downstairs also) finally cooled off around midnight.

Every time I thought about the heat last night, I thought about how glad I was not to have old insulation sticking to my sweaty back.

OMG.  You need to at least have a small window unit that you can install during these occasional heat waves.  My friend in Minnesota said that their stores all sold out of them this week (when it reached 98 in Marshall, MN).  Shocked

LOL. Even when I am complaining about the day's high temps it is nothing to whine about. Maybe 85 degrees in the late afternoon. Overnight temps drop back into the 60's. Not the entire state by any stretch. Just this 3 or 4 county area of the most mountainous terrain.  The woman plans her cooking around it,-- on real hot days she'll just fix sandwiches and not run the dryer. My office (direct sunlight and computers running) is the worst. Someone stole my fan yesterday. Angry

Not naming names (mostly because I can't remember them all) as to the fan thief.
