Gotta retire for the evening. Got an early trip to Montgomery tomorrow. Chech, thanks for the chic pic.

Nighty night.  Safe travels.

Doesn't compare to your actual pics from the beach; web pic.

More renovation this morning.  We have a heat advisory (100 degrees today), so I guess we'll work until noon then swim to cool off.  We start putting up the ceiling today.  I'll try to get pics.

I remember putting up a hanging ceiling once, it sucked.

We're doing beadboard.  We did it at his house, in a vaulted ceiling (ugh).  This little house can hardly be done any other way.  The ceiling joists are irregularly spaced, so drywall would be a nightmare to hang.  With beadboard you can follow the joists with each board put up and see where to nail (nailguns).  Nailguns make it fast, and we learned to wedge the boards together with a contraption (my buddy designed) so they are tight.

Be careful.  A lot of people die falling off ladders.

That sounds familiar.  You must have mentioned that before.
Fortunately, this ceiling is just 8.5' high.  And, BTW, that's another reason for not using drywall on the walls.  We'd have to cut every piece of drywall.  If it were 8', we'd hang a whole sheet and move along.  The beadboard should give the house a country-farmhouse look.

Because it's true.  Easy to get a head injury, doesnt matter how high you are.

I'm heading out to play around before it gets hot.  Just clearing and building things up.  I will try to take a couple of photos but you probably cant tell what you're looking at.

The hole for storm shelter filled up with rain water. lol

I was kissing LF and seeing her off to Memphis.  She's taking a friend to the airport.  Did I miss the Preacher on (ugh) Fox?  They're talking "Spending Stupid" now.

Thanks.  I was watching Imus in the meanwhile.  Did you see the end of the Braves game (shown on Imus)?  I doubt anybody saw it live; 19 innings.  It ended with a terrible call at the plate (Braves won when a home-plate slide was called "safe").  It wasn't close to anybody but the umpire.  Guess he was tired too.
