I'm off to another gun show today.  Summer shows are usually slow, but maybe I'll have some luck.

The renovation project went well yesterday.  We nearly finished with the ceiling of the first room, but ran out of painted beadboards (the women need to speed up their work).  So we hung the can lights in the living room and wired them.  Progress is good, but I need a break from the heat.  The gun show came just in time.
Do you use the can light itself to draw/trace a pattern on the beadboard for cutting or do the lights come with a overlay/pattern...I'm searching for the term... for cutting.

My buddy did it.  There was no pattern with the lights.  At first he practiced with a Rotozip and the Rotozip hole-cutting guide.  That was slow and difficult.  We considered a jigsaw, but it was a pain to use on the ceiling.  We settled on freehand Rotozip.  When the beadboard covered the hole (it's only 4" wide, so it never completely covered it) he drew the circle pattern using a plastic bowl that happened to be the exact size, then took it down and cut it freehand on the work bench.  We had a compass for circle drawing, but the bowl was easiest and worked well.  Freehand with a Rotozip can be tricky, but he was pretty good at it.

Wet and miserable. Should have had around 10-12 attendees, but the rain kept all but 3 away. On the bright side, 2 of the 3 will be contracting with us.

Seriously, glad you had success, despite the rain.  I remember when my Mom moved from Fairhope to Birmingham.  She kept saying, "It doesn't know how to rain here."  Rain comes down in sheets along the Gulf coast.

It was a steady downpour from the time I hit I-10 in P'cola until about 30 minutes after I returned home. Wrecks everywhere and traffic (the kind that doesn't know how to drive in the rain) was horrible.

The word/term I was reaching for was "template". Getting old. Embarrassed

I've always found that, when driving I-10, it's best to ride the bumper of the car ahead and keep the throttle at max speed when it rains.  Just sayin'.

Your choice.  For you, a 10% discount.  All of my knives are elderly.

I have one somewhere that looks a lot like those on the bottom left.  It's elderly as well.
