Sup Smitty? My power just came back on--we have generator but that had to be bad for some old folks in trailers--even around here.

Good afternoon.

Not a lot.  We got up and went to the trade show in Collinsville, just a bunch of garbage mostly, some over priced decent stuff.  I thought of chech when I saw the knife guys.

The girl is painting stuff, it's thundering here.

Just watched a CBS show on golf equipment. They showed hickory golf clubs from 1920's. Turns out the expert now a days is a guy in Selma. Google Tad Moore (I think). But there is a XMAS idea for the golfer someone may have in their family.

They have advanced materials nowadays for golf clubs.  No one uses the wooden ones any more.

I thought those things were usually persimmon?

They gave reasons for using hickory opposed to other woods, but by the time I focused it was over.

I used to work at that pacle when I was a kid.  It always has been a bunch of junk, but usually the cars lined up for miles to get in.  Or at least they were back then.  I haven't been in years.

We got there early and left as it was getting crowded.  90% junk.

I used to go there too.  We went to Collinsville Trade Day on Saturday and then Mountain Top on Sunday.  I would say it was all junk too.  But somebody was buying it.  I guess one man's junk is another man's treasure.

I'll bet I haven't typed XMAS in pacle of Christmas once in the past 5-10 years. I get it. But I did it this time, trying to save 1/10th of a second and I got busted. The thought of not doing it even crossed my mind as I was typing. I know better and it angers me when atheist use it. Busted. RTR to you.

So how did XMAS get started any way?  As a kid I always thought the X was supposed to be a cross symbol, but that doesn't really make much since.  It looks like they would use a lower case t if that was the intent.

The first guy was chancing no one making the connection. Or perhaps it was in an advertisement that limited space, but had red and green decorations or something to assist the reader to making the connection. Huh?
