Afternoon campers. Glad to see everyone seems to be making it through the weekend unscathed so far (except for ricky. Hoping your doing better there, preach.) Boring yesterday, but I am making myself feel better by repeating over and over "Only three more Saturdays without football."

In three more weeks I start being a nervous wreck for 17 weeks.

Golf today, pmull? I played this morning and shot a solid 85. Hot as blazes, but left the beer alone and stuck to the Gatorade. Even won a little money.

Good score. 

I am playing tomorrow. Check out the course I'm playing. A friend of mine is a member and lives in the community just off the course.

Nice, pmull-- how old would you say the course/development is?

"Good morning all"

The course is about 15-20 years old I think. They were trying to develop the properties in the beginning but it only had a few homes until about 10 years ago. Once it took off it has really grown. It is very nice. A little pricey but that is to be expected on this type of development. It is located just south of Athens and is about 20 minute drive to Huntsville/Madison and Decatur.

Private course or open to the public?

They want to be a private course but times are tough. They let the pubic play for now calling it a membership drive. My friend lives in the complex and is a member. The course is in great shape. The grass loves this heat as long as it gets rain and we have avoided the mid-summer drought this year. Stay in the fairway, the rough is thick.

High school starts on 8/26. We have a practice scrimmage this friday night. This may hold me over until Bama kicks off. If I go much longer without some football I may go nuts.

I shot an up and down 83. Two doubles and no bridies. I started out bad and finished bad. Played pretty good at times. It was too hot to play today.

Austin HS in Decatur. They are 6A Region 7. My youngest daughter is the dance/flag team captain in the band this year.
