This is what they're likely to look like.

I've had golden pups before.  They were not that ugly and had hair.

Pmull, you playing this weekend?

I am playing tomorrow morning. I have not played in a while so I am looking forward to it. I am playing the local public course, Point Mallard. The course gets mixed reviews but I like it a lot. It is long, 6600 yds on the white tees. It has 6 par 4's 400 yds or longer.

Good luck. All my golfing buddies are out of town this weekend, so I'll have to fly solo. Got to get better, more consistent on my putting.

I don't know if it helps or not but I review my round when I am done. I always look at fairways hit, greens in reg. and number of putts. I look at putts per 9 holes. If you 2 putt all greens you will have 18. When I have a good round I average 15 puuts per 9. Most of my 1 putts come from scrambling around the greens but that is how you score. Ball striking is important but nothing helps your score more than good putting.

Yeah, I've started recording number of putts on each hole and you're right, the old cliche "Drive for show, putt for dough" is dead on. Gotta run for now. We'll compare notes tomorrow night or Sunday.

Best thing I ever did for my putting was mark the balls with a straight line.  It really helped me.

I have never tried that but it must work. A lot of people use that trick including the pros.

All golf balls have cheater marks. I'm too lazy to mark a straight line. so I use those.

Right hand side of ball has cheater line. Just as good. My problem is not lining up the ball. It's more reading breaks as of late. I can hit the ball where I line it up.
