1. NY public in panic (predictable) over hurricane;
2. Looks like the hurricane will skirt the coast, and the worst winds will be offshore;
3. Big economic news today.  You should have bought gold 3 years ago;
4. Duron makes or breaks it today (just a guess).

1. The media makes it seem that way, I doubt people are concerned too much.

A.  bathroom work I guess today, mostly supervision, that's not my baby. 
B.  It was a good week.  Should would be nice to make this work long term.

B1. I'm ready for weekend; not used to working.

Back from my morning walk/run. Chech, pmull, I played golf yesterday afternoon and the most amazing thing happened. Since I've lost 10 lbs. the last 2 weeks, I'm getting turned on the ball much better and hit my drives 10-15 yards longer than what I had been doing. Also, I have 2 sets of golf clubs. My car is in the shop with my regular set of clubs safely tucked away in the trunk so I used my other set yesterday. The putter is totally different than my usual putter. It's a "White Hot" Odyssey crescent putter and I never use it because I could never get the feel for it (like I could with any other putter). Yesterday I did. I only hit 5 greens in regulation but shot an 82. I had 31 putts and only one hole with a 3 putt. Playing again to morrow with the guys. Can't wait.

I'm on the Atkins' diet and combo walking & running an hour every morning. I'm really starting to feel great. I do miss my beer and wine, but I do partake of a little Absolut on the weekends. I need to lose another 20 lbs., but I'm satisfied so far.

Well folks, it looks like Hatteras will take the hit by Hurricane Irene.  Count your blessings; it could have been a terrible hurricane had it hit Georgia and SC as originally predicted (see above).  Prayers to those in its path.  It could have been worse.

NCAA statement on Danny Sheridan comments.

Danny Sheridan continues to make vague, unsubstantiated claims without backing them up with proof. Contrary to his claims of having an inside source with details on the Auburn investigation, the NCAA has not provided information to Sheridan or anyone else.

 As a matter of due diligence, the NCAA spoke with Sheridan this week to determine if he had any facts pertaining to the investigation. Sheridan, however, did not provide any information to the enforcement staff and certainly did not provide a name. Instead, he unsuccessfully attempted to gather information for his own use.

  for the golf. I owe you one for the weight loss. Losing the spare tire will help you turn on the ball. I have two putters that I alternate on a as needed basis. One is a Odyssey "White Hot" two ball putter and the other is a Odyssey Tri-Force Rossie.

I shot an 84 today. Tough course in Calera. It is where the Montevallo golf team plays. A good freind of my daughter dates a guy on the team. I got to play for free. He even gave me two sleeves of Titleist PRO V1 balls with the Montevallo logo. He shot a 73 from the tips. Check out this course.
