I'll interject here for a minute and talk golf. With me dieting and the temperature reaching 100 degrees, I hit the wall about #12. On the front 9, however, I was literally 2 inches from a hole-in-one on a 185 yard par 3. I shot 43-49 for a 92. The front nine would have been better but I shanked an approach shot OB on #3 and ended up with a 9. Oh well, there's always tomorrow. Temps are supposed to be a good bit lower tomorrow.

I was getting ready to ask. The heat is tough. It was 98 and humid in B'ham yesterday when I played. It is low 90's and very little humidity today and it feels great. Take that 92 with a gain of salt.  You can not play your best everytime out.

Today's practice update.

@CecilHurt
Cecil Hurt Dee Hart in black jersey and rehabbing but was wearing pads. Other RBs were shouting encouragement as Hart did high knee lifts

@ChaseGoodbread
Chase Goodbread Still no Duron Carter; Brandon Lewis (death in family) and Kellen Williams (ankle sprain) miss practice; Scout jerseys everywhere = game ...

The high today was only supposed to be 94, so I did my morning 1 hour walk which was a mistake, and I didn't eat. It was a recipe for a bad golf game, so I'm not gonna beat myself up. Tomorrow is a 7:00 tee time with temps in the 60's. There will be no walking I'll eat. I've never played the course we're playing tomorrow, but I'll be ready. Or it may be the Absolut talking. Wink

Could Dee Hart be ahead of schedule? That would be great. I hate it for Duron.

2, I did not may myself clear yesterday about my putters. I have two putters but I do not carry both at the same time. If my putting starts to struggle I change. It has to be the putters fault, right? I adhere to the 14 club rule. I carry three wedges, 3 woods, 7 hybred/iron and putter.

I didn't think anything otherwise,P, I knew what you meant. If you're watching the game, Marlon Humphrey, son of beloved Bobby, is playing very well.

They're a big bunch of kids. Hoover looking pretty good so far. SP could wear them down in the 2nd half if Hoover doesn't control the ball.

I haz a sad. My buddy from Louisville just called and invited me to next week's game. He has tickets right behind the Bama bench. But my best friend (who actually introduced my wife and I to each other 30 years ago, and yes, I forgave him) and his wife are coming in for Labor Day weekend.  I love my best friend and his wife, but  Angry.

He's a beast. Herbstreit was boosting him up a while ago, even though he picked LaMichael James to win the Heisman.
