...

The state of Alabama Fire College is in Tuscaloosa.

I know; I trained there.

I programmed the Fire Alarm Systems for the Fire College.

To clarify, I trained there last in 1976.  Been a while.

Small world.

This was the new college.

Laptops were not around in the 1970s.

HP and TI had some laptop sized calculators.

Computers, laptops, new college?
I'm talking about training at Fire Academy as a fireman.  No, there were no computers then.  Huh?

Sorry.

Since the early 1990s. Laptops have been used for uploading programs to intelligent addressable fire alarm systems. The new fire college buildings have the intelligent fire panels.
All intergrated building systems are uploaded by laptops. Systems like fire, card access, HVAC, CCTV, security, and Special Hazard fire suppression.

South Alabama is playing tonight, 2. Might be worth sitting in the rain at Ladd to see the cheerleaders and dance team in the rain.  Cheesy

Get ready for the monsoon.

Addendum:  If you are reading this from New Orleans, pack up and make a road trip NOW.  This system will almost certainly sit just offshore for days to a week, and New Orleans will certainly flood.  Maybe the pumps will work this time, maybe the levees will hold this time, and maybe the rain will bypass New Orleans... NOT.  This rainfall event will dump more rain on New Orleans than it's seen in years.  Leave now.  IMHO.

I would hope the pumps and the rebuilt levees work after The Corp of Engineers spent $30 billion rebuilding them. Play it safe and go to Houston for the week.

I know the southeast needs the rain.

lots of exciting bush hogging photos.

Good little job.  I would say I am amazed, but i am not, that people are continually surprised and pleased by what a great job we do.  How can you eff it up?  The level of business we are getting is encouraging.  Doing a church tomorrow.  We decided not to take the Philadelphia position.  Still no puppies.  Excited about the game tonight.  FOOTBALL.

1.  That field is clean.  Excellent.
2.  Doing a church tomorrow?  Please don't mow down a church.
2.  No puppies?  Embarrassed
3.  So, Philadelphia Story will remain a movie, not a dream.  I wouldn't like it there.

I could see how it'd be satisfying and fun.  I loved bush hogging, back in my days working summers in Green County.  Only drawback was running over rabbits - ugh.  Otherwise, it's nice to look around when done and see the dividends.

Don't give it up.  And thanks for the photos.
