Job was beast.  Perfect day for working outside though.

Is this the 4-acre quarterly gig, Smitty?  Was it overgrown?  Might be easier from now on I would think.

Yes, and yes quite over grown, lots of down limbs and crap (a lot of it I got rid of this time), and it's a fairly steep hillside so in many parts I have to be going up or down.

I'll put some pics here in a little bit.

It should take half the time from here on out.
Probably best to run straight up or down until you get use to it. I've spoken of this before,--that you are sitting up high (high center of gravity) so you get a feeling you are about to roll when you really are not. I sometimes (well, not for some time now) spend all day on a hillside (fence building, for instance) and the death grip tension on the wheel is enough to wear you out.

Like going down a steep bank and driving into a hole.   Pretty sure my heart actually stopped for a second.

LOL--Done it.  I've been perpendicular to the incline and hit a rock. Up hill front tire comes off the ground and you have to steer out of it. Also I remember augering down on a posthole, sideways on a hillside. The auger gets stuck in the hole, but when it breaks loose, under tension, it'll give you a ride.  Did you see the e-mail video I sent you?

That was incredible. I'd explain to everyone but it is too hard to put into a comment box. Backhoe/loader aerobics.

Coach Hank I see the road for Shades Valley does not get any easier this week. Ya'll play Clay-Caulkville. Are you going to the game?

We have a tough test this week too. We play @ Oxford. In addition to a tough game it is a 150 mile road trip for us.

Sorry it took all day to get back with you. There has be so many posts on this thread I wasn't sure where your message was. We are going to the game tomorow night, their best change to win was 2 weeks ago. Next week is Hueytown HS. The band didn't go to Gadsden last week and I am glad I didn't have to watch that game. Tomorrow night will probably be the same out come. Since Jefferson county is brankrupt, the band doesn't go to Austin HS in decatur either. Good luck with Oxford tomorrow night. Go Bears! That's right isn't it. Go Mounties just don't sound right.

Ok, the pictures do not do it justice.  Here is a small sample you get the idea.

This first picture has no 'after' from the same angle, but it shows the steepness well.

Now some more before

After

It'd take some practice to get that smooth. He has every move memorized.

Seems sorta racist. Huh? I was a Black Eagle but we love all eagles regardless of color.
