I was hoping to sleep in a little longer this morning. Not a chance.

Glupping coffee.

I'm reworking some shelves in the garage to accommodate my new tools (attained this weekend).  Then I'll go help my buddy with his renovation again.  Maybe NFL this afternoon, if there are any good games.

I wish I could watch the Saints, but a 1:00 AM kickoff when I have to teach 4 hours in the morning would be a little rough.

I had to get up. I have to carry my son to his job at Winn-Dixie this morning.

Any word on Robert Lester's injury?  Trainers had him surrounded on a table after he came off field and couldn't tell what they were working on. He then walked off the field heading to locker room before the game ended.

Lester's lower back was injured, it appeared.  As he walked off the field talking to the trainers, you could see him motion that he was bent backwards (as that guy fell onto him awkwardly).  Hopefully he strained muscles.

I've seen nothing about it, except for this quote from Coach Saban: "Robert Lester gets back spasms every now and then.  He got bent back a little bit on the play.  That’s what he has is back spasms."

That makes sense because he was laid face down on the training table.

While we're celebrating the great news of yesterday, include baseball.  The Braves won, Cardinals lost, so the Braves are 4.5 games up in the wildcard.

Just a few hours of renovation work.  I got home and realized that I had a nail in my car tire.  Pulled it out, drilled out the hole, and I put in a plug.  Not very satisfying.  I always wonder if they'll hold, and usually they do.     I'll check the tire pressure periodically so I don't awaken in the morning and have to change the tire.   Sad

If it was a front tire you should move it to the rear.

Or take it to wal-marks and have it properly patched for 7 dollars.

It's a rear tire.  Wal-Mart and service stations don't do it here on weekends.  I have had the repair kit for a couple of years, so I just decided to see if I could do it correctly.  I'd helped my buddy put a plug in a horse-trailer tire before, so I knew it was a pain.  Biggest hassle is drilling out the hole big enough for the plug.  Too big and the tire is ruined.  The kit has a crappy thing that doesn't work; I used the cordless drill instead.  That works well.  I'll take it off and drop it for repair if it leaks.  I'm not making any road trips for a couple of weeks.

Thanks for the advice (e-cred).

I had a piece of wire in a tractor tire. I noticed it while driving the tractor home. Real smart BAMAWV pulled out the wire, and barely made it from the gates to the house.  Driving at 70mph down a Ft. Worth interstate in 110 degree heat you can kinda smell the tires melting. If the patched tire has any wear to speak of, I'd replace it. HTH

I went out and splashed some soapy water on the patch to test it.  No bubbles (yet).  Roll Tire.
