I'm back home after a great weekend. Bama won big, even though there are still question marks, especially on offense and I shot an 83 this morning at Timberline in Calera. Great course. I tailgated with Jamos and had a great time. J, thank you very much for your hospitality and your great stories. Gil and I enjoyed that as much as the game. My POS phone has no battery life and froze up twice, so I didn't get to post much. Sorry about that, but we had a lot of fun at the game. It's been a while since I've been to BDS. It shook me to my core traveling down 15th St. It broke my heart, but the community has really pulled together. It was terrific seeing the 1971 team. We were 5 rows up and got to see many of them up close, including Johnny Musso. He looked like he could still play.

FWIW, I think we will beat the crap out of Arky this weekend. RTR!!!
The TV never showed or mentioned Musso, or I was in the bathroom. That's great.

Musso and I were in the same algebra class in 1969.  Wonder if any of our players take algebra now.

You guys see that fumble return in the Falcons game?

I just turned it on.  I can't believe how Vick was carrying the ball on that last fumble play.  You would think that for all the millions he makes he would know how to secure the football.  That was horrible.

And the announcers didn't mention it.  Maybe it's old news that he carries it loosely.

That wasn't the first play tonight where he was toting a loaf of bread.  Also not the first time he lost it and someone else ate his sammich.

Several times tonight he's thrown accurate passes while being tackled.  The man's got a cannon of an arm.  Guess they'll just deal with the fumbles.

I thought so.  I recognized his downfield blocking on that long run on the play right before that last TD pass by ATL.

I missed that.  Earlier he almost made a circus catch, but the ruling was the ball hit the ground.  Had he caught it cleanly at first ( ) it wouldn't have been an issue.

He was probably 30 yards down field stalk blocking the DB.  He came into the frame right at the end of the run.  They tackled the RB, but Julio's guy didn't get a single finger on him.

Mine too, Terrie.  He was probably the best blocking RB ever at Bama.  He could roll up a player anywhere on the field.  And, of course, his running was beautiful to watch.

It looks like our punter is better than Atlanta's.  18 yard kick out of his own end zone.

JJ may have been pretty good if he'd stayed his senior year.
