We play Athens tonight. That is a rivalry game for us. They are a little down this year. The Decatur paper has picked us to win 35-21. They are normally one of the top 5A schools in the state.  My daughter went to McAdory from K -12. She was a cheerleader there for six years. Anyway, McAdory played Athens in the playoffs back in 1999. We traveled to Athens. Rivers was their QB and his dad was the coach. They edged us out by 2 points, 22-20 or 21-19, I think that's right. Rivers was tall and ran funny, in a straight up position. I would never guessed he had an NFL career in his future.

Neither did the Alabama coaches.

You had to reach for that answer.  When ours bring girlfriends home I hit on 'em right in front of them. "Wanna take a ride,--maybe get some beer?" It was pretty awkward for all,-- the first time. Now the girls play along but their friends don't know. lol
