"Good morning."

Crisp, that's quite a story.  I want to see that baboo photo.

I will see if my brother can locate the picture of the Baboon. It is one fierce looking creature with large fangs. The image was stored on a memory card from a Sony camera. The picture was taken in front of a tree that he said was over 3000 years old. The whole background of the picture is nothing but tree trunk. He said there were very few trees where he was hunting, only huge old trees.

I'd like to make a coffee table out of that huge, 3000 year old tree. Then probably just split the rest for stove wood.

The leaves have been turning. Being so dry in the month of August caused the leaves to turn quicker than normal.

There must be laws protecting those ancient trees. One thing he said that worried him while he was there some villages where they had visited one week were burnt to the ground the next, when they came back thru. The guide told him the government would send out gangs that would rob and pillage the villagers.

The OLD GUYS have no less than 25 theories on why the leaves change and what makes a brilliant fall. Some go with the amount of rain for the summer, above or below average. Others say this determines the speed or rapidity of change. Some say too dry the leaves just fall off. The next guy says temperature is the determining factor. Some think it is controlled by the folks at the Farmer's Almanac. What I've learned by carefully listening, is that the OLD GUYS don't know what the Hell they are talking about.

This OLD GUY'S theory is that it take cool temps overnight to set them off. A 2-3 day stretch of freezing temps (overnight) will set them off. If it has rained more than average in September, the brilliant show will last a little longer. Too dry and the leaves just fall off.
