"Bear attacks couple in their house".

Have y'all read this story?  It occurred last week.  It's worth a read; funny and frightening.

What kind of a person (CAT?) thinks bear attacks are funny?

The image of a dog racing into the house, closely followed by a bear, was funny.  Clearly this dig wasn't the legendary 'Ole Yeller'.  It was the house mutt that ran for its life when needed to protect the family.

MW, keep your doors closed after you let the dog outside.

Here is the purchase of the show.  I bought an old stag CASE XX knife, pattern 53047.  The one I bought was made between 1940-1964.  Price was $400.  Beautiful stag handles.

The one in the photo is from the web, not the one I bought.  Mine was older and not stainless steel.

I sold some silver dimes, bought some silver dollars, sold some wooden decoys, and sold plenty of knives.  I sold 6 switchblades; seemed to be the most-popular knives at this show.

You guys have a good Sunday?

Nothing dirty. A QB would have to be superhuman to stand up to that kind of beating. They took one guy after the next off last night--half the Vandy team. I'm not sure our guys play well with others.

AJ was so laser focused on (probably telegraphing some) his receiver he didn't realize how clear a lane he had. CNS will somehow teach him to grow an extra pair of eyes or a sonar/radar type telemetry system--IDK--CNS does. In further campus business:

As to the obvious trail of bodies we are leaving in our rear view--I imagine CNS and CMM have worked out something to cover that up. Perhaps folks will just be so happy for us to be on our way to the BCS-NCG that they simply will not notice. Again, IDK, CNS does.

While we're at it, I think someone should address the issue of multiple murder investigations, pending simultaneously against Barron and Hightower. What with their schoolwork and community involvement, this could get somewhat tedious. The guy CNS hired to erase the chalk outlines of the bodies at BDS is starting to complain and now wants an assistant forensics eraser. Nowadays, it has gotten so you can't even slaughter a bunch of opponents without someone making a federal case out of it. LOL. I guess CMM is working on that but it detracts from his arranging extra rooms in NOLA, early through mid-January.

I'm hoping some school spirited group is taking down the WANTED posters of Upshaw and Chapman.  General house keeping comments alone have made it necessary to "tidy-up" somewhat.  I for one, did not realize that the Australian guy could even get in trouble for a dead guy here, a dead guy there. Next, they'll be holding some kind of kangaroo court. LOL. But the WANTED posters are gawdy and as we should have learned from the case of "you-know-who", bad for the trees around the Quad.
While we are on the subject of high crimes and misdemeanors, what a move by CNS to have will Lowery and Cody Mandell both wear #29. Should they come to get Lowery, we'll simply give 'em Mandell. Both are white guys, about the same size,--and it is not like Cody has been setting the punting world on fire, anyway.

That gives me an idea.  Can Lowery punt?

I thought switchblades were illegal.

It's an interstate-commerce law.  The Congress made it illegal to manufacture or transport switchblades across state lines for sale.  I can sell them in Mississippi, but can't take them to other states.

In addition, some cities have local ordinances against switchblades.  In many cities you can carry an AK-47, but not a switchblade.  Birmingham has such an ordinance, so I can't sell them in B'ham.  But you can buy AK-47s there, plus all the ammunition you'll ever need.

Interesting.  I think there might be a local ordinance banning them here.  When I was a kid I had a butterfly knife that I bought at a flea market.  I wanted a switchblade but no one could sell them, so I bought the butterfly knife instead.  I wanted it to cut open boxes at work.  Once I learned to work that butterfly knife I could pull it out of my pocket and open it in the same motion, cut open the box, and have it back in my pocket before you could tell what happened.

Have you read Undaunted Courage?  Lewis and Clarke thought that about bears too.  Then they shot one through the lungs, and it chased them for half a mile and into a river.

I need two thousand rounds of 6.8 Remington SPC. Revolution in the air.

I live with them on Montague Street. In a basement down the stairs. There was music in the cafes at night and revolution in the air.
