I have my outside Christmas lights in here tonight. I'll go ahead and put them up in the next couple of weeks. Next kinda warm day.

The trick to it is putting them up at the same time as cleaning leaves out of gutters for winter (while you have the ladders out). But December weather is usually too cold to be putting lights up and working on little stuff with no gloves.

I will put mine up around the middle of November.  I like to turn them on for the kids for the first time (officially) when we get home from Thanksgiving at Grandmother's house.  Then we go out the next morning on black Friday and pick out a Christmas tree.
That is us. Thanksgiving is when we turn them on.

LF and I stopped at IHOP near Memphis last year, having just returned from overseas.  Our internal clocks said "early-morning Italy", but it was instead 10PM at night. 

We sat and I ordered blueberry pancakes.  "We don't have blueberry."
"Buttermilk pancakes?"  "We're out of those too."
"No pancakes?  No waffles?"  "Sorry."
"Glass of milk?"  "Sorry, no milk."
"What do you have?"  "Hamburgers."

We left.  I haven't been to an IHOP since.  WTH?
