Let's talk food while 2 is out jogging.

It's turning cold here today, supposed to rain all day, so I plan to grill some ribs tonight.  After that LF and I are going to a "Rain" concert in Oxford.  That's the group that plays Beatles music; apparently sound just like the Beatles.  I'll give a report afterwards.  Here's the announcement and info: Click here for link

Trying to confuse Phil again, with the ribs for breakfast? I just ate a couple biscuits w/sausage but could FINISH that plate of BBQ.  I've been eating chicken 'n' dumplings for 2 days now (more leftovers these days). I'm going to put in a request for BBQ.

On purpose, or did the wife make you eat it?  Vegemite too?

Lol on the vegemite! Just kidding on the other stuff. It doesn't really bother me. It was just a good excuse to mess with ya a little.

Clay-Chalkville High School found out yesterday they will have to forfeit all nine games they have won this year because they played an ineligible player. They are the No. 1 (6A) team in the state. The good news is it moves Austin High School up a slot to the No. 2 Seed in Region 7. We don't have to face Hoover in the first round of the playoffs anymore.

Afternoon all. Took the young'un to the Greater Gulf States Fair last night Figures that as soon as me and the Missus get done eating, he wants to get on the ride that spins around a lot. Good thing she went with him, because I would have a large cleanup problem for the ride operator.

I remember when I was a young'un myself, the GGSF was the outdoor event of the year for us.  My friend and I saved money all year for the fair.  Great times.

Whoa!

That means Valley is 2-7 with Vestavia tomorrow night!

Last Friday Oxford won 66-20 and the game wasn't as close as the score!

Yeah, Missus had taken him the past two years because I couldn't go (sick last year and had class the year before), but he always has a blast. Its fun riding with him and just to hear him laughing and see him grinning. Moments to treasure.

WOW!!! It sounds like somebody got their tail whipped and found a technicality to get them in trouble.  If I read the article right, the kid was dismissed from Huffman, then transferred.  The former coach from Huffman said the kid had nothing to do with the success that the Clay-Chalkville football team had this year.  Now they are having to forfeit their whole season because 1 ineligible orange eater transferred to their school and went out for the football team.  If that is what happened, that just isn't right.

I think pmull turned in CCHS so Austin HS would move to the #2 seed.

Maybe I did. Maybe I didn't.   Lips Sealed  I am just glad we don't have to play Hoover in round one.
