If you only get to NOLA every now and then, treat yourself to Commander's Palace.

Dang dude, you are killing me. I'z might have to talk to the woman about going out to eat tonight. I think she might pass out.  Shocked

Multiply this X10 and feed us all.  Somebody get the beer.

I'm on it. Abita is pretty good with seafood, what say you, guys?

I like it. I always enjoy a little seafood with my beer.  Wink

man it's a small world  ...

my FIL had a place on Ft. Morgan Rd. for years on the lagoon
my kids grew up there , summers anyway .
his cousin is Joe Cain , or the guy that plays him every year that is ,
we call him Wayne though ...
I laughed like a mad man at that picture that you said was in the paper
and I still have it somewhere around here , marley with his head stuck in the
turf at the dome , boy that was sweetness !

memory lane , gotta love it

Hmmm.  If your FIL's last name starts with a Z, PM me.

Funny.  Back in the 70s, as I recall, we used to have a Joe Cain celebration at the cemetery and dance on his grave.  Some knucklehead decided we were desecrating the memory of him (who nobody else had remembered), so we had to move.  Fun times.

We ought to get a gathering of the CRS posters in NOLA. The pacle would never be the same. Just imagine we could start out slow, like at a local Waffle House. WV could ask the server if they have waffles. We would all laugh. Then ramp it up for lunch with a trip to Acme's, the one in Metairie so we can go down Airline and reminisce. After that, maybe Harrah's for a little Black Jack in the French Quarter unless Preacher is with us, then we would skip that and go to Cafe Du'monde for beignets, where Coach Hank can give us a little history. After that, for late night we can go to the ti....never mind, I forgot, Preacher is with us.  Embarrassed

Anyway, that could be the first day.

K & K would be a must. Could prolly get us into VIP pacles. If not, I know Jamos could. He knows everybody. We don't need no stinkin' microbrew, Abita flows freely in NOLA.

I'll be in the Caddy Shack in Metairie (we'll send a cab driver to Central Grocery for some mouffalottas),  or the Petroleum Club, then Tipatina's depending on who is playing. Ya'll are e=welcome to tag along. No TOURISTAS on the BAMAWV caravan! Breakfast at the Treasure Chest Casino on Pontchartrain.

I stand corrected. Abita all around, then.
