That was terrible.

I couldn't tell if it was eating that animal or not.

20 years ago or so my brother had two of those Bull Mastiffs..

Parents had 2 Brittany Spaniels. Parents and brother had houses located on 30 acres of property in Concord Alabama. One evening the Mastiffs got out and  came over the pasture to my dad's house was and cornered the Spaniels on this front porch.

Dad received a bad bite on his arm keeping one of those Mastiffs off the Spaniels. Alone the Mastiffs were like big puppies, but around other dogs they were a terror.

Tulane is expected to announce Thursday that it will begin construction on an on-campus stadium, 37 years after it tore down its legendary home and moved to the Superdome.

That news, which has been percolating for weeks, isn’t sitting well with the trustees of the University of Alabama, who are resisting entreaties from UAB to do the same. Not that Legion Field is dilapidated, but it has been mistaken by tourists for the Colosseum in Rome.

Jefferson Country just bankrupted for $4.23 billion and the 854 UAB fans will have to wait.

A new stadium is under discussion for U. Memphis also, a focal point this week during the interview with our favorite assistant coach (shhh).  The Liberty Bowl is better than Legion Field, but both are old soldiers (and off campus).  Neither city can afford to help with costs.

BTW, my first college fb game was at the Sugar Bowl in Tulane Stadium (1958; Texas vs Ole Miss).  I have the tickets still.  I cheered for Texas (same luck picking winners back then -  ).

Yep, thanks.  We've lost most all of those veterans now.  They come by my table at gun shows periodically.  Often they are wearing veteran caps, so I stand and greet them.

One guy I met in Florence, AL told me proudly, "I was on the first ship into Nagasaki after the A-bomb."  I nearly fainted.  My father was too.  We chatted, and the old guy returned the next morning with photos of the sailors riding in big trucks to view the scene of devastation.  No pics of my Dad, but I enjoyed the visit and chat.

That would have been awesome.

I have my dad's medals, flight logs from aboard the USS Essex.

I have his pictures from the Navy as well.

One picture is like a 5 X 10 with all his squard guys standing in front of a 'F6F HellcaT'!

His intentions were to carry all that stuff except for his pictures and give it to that muesum in Pensacola.

We would go to that place yearly and visit.

Since he passed, I was torn as to what to do with it.

CAT, did you say you had two HD motorcycles?

CAT,  did you post about owning a pair of HD motorcycles?

1.  Be sure to get a commitment from the museum about displays.  They would accept the donation, but preparing and displaying items is expensive.  They may not be able to display your items unless you help with expenses.  Address it directly with them.  I suggest lending the items instead of donating them.

2.  LOL.  I have 2 steerable H-D sleds, not bikes.  I sold my bike when I was in college; too dangerous for me, even then.

It's the correct term; many people say "loaning".  Loan is a noun. "To give or allow the use of temporarily on the condition that the same or its equivalent will be returned."

 Huh?

 Huh?

No as far as to a military museum is concerned?

Lending items, do you still pay for cost of the display is what I meant to ask.
