Trouble getting around today, so I'm at home.  Ibuprofen is my friend.

What happened young man?

The tractor goofup.  My back isn't a young-man's back.
I keep having flashbacks of playing D-end in hs.  Just the 3-point stance hurts to think...

I left our two miniature Dachshunds outside during the night. From around 12:30 until 5:00 oclock. It was 43 dergrees out. They were happy to see me this morning. Bless there little Dachshund hearts.

I feed them and they having been sleeping since.

I have done it before, but usually their barking will wake us up, but not last night. We slept right thru their barking.

I apolgized to "Nano" and "Pixie" and give them a little bite of bacon along with a bowl of Purina One and a fresh bowl of water. All is forgiving!

Do you remember me telling the story about the friend whose dauchund died; he buried it with a post-hole digger.  His wife saw the burial site and asked, "Why so smal a grave?", then made him dig it up and rebury it long-ways.

No I don't think so. I don't remember that story about burying a dachshund in a hole made by post-hole diggers.

 Sad

^^Bump^^

Chech, anymore to story?

My leg is fine; big colorful bruise, but fine.
No.  I've been through this multiple times.  Herniated disc, ice alternated with heat.  After about 4-5 days I forget about it and do something else stupid.

Crisp, that is the story (except fine details of beechy wife and aging dog).

Back problems are a b***h. I have 2 sporadic problems; back spasms when I physically overdo something, and sciatic nerve problems, which come out of nowhere. Both are debilitating. You're situation is worse. Have you considered surgery?

Maybe this is just me, but I would rather have a surgeon doing the work than a Bozo.  Laughing

Seems like only yesterday I was arguing with the other apes about walking upright.  "It'll cause back problems", I insisted.

They could only think about bananas just out of reach.

Okay, finally home.  LF is fixing supper.

SC, this is the house of my buddy.  Remember the pics of us ripping down the ceiling, putting up new ceiling, building a deck, etc.  That house.  Thanks.

But we had chores at his farm to get done first: haul firewood and feed the horses.  The firewood took an hour.

Normally feeding the horses is easy, just grabbing up a round bail of hay with the tractor and hauling it to the horse pasture.  But (to simplify for brevity) the tractor was being backed up a steep incline, so I climbed onto the rear hay spike to give my buddy enough traction.  The tractor bucked, I fell, and my leg caught between some iron supports.  I hit the ground, but my leg twisted and was caught.  It hurt mucho (shhh, hell of a lot), but didn't break.  I'm good (enough).

We didn't do the planned work on ladders at the house; instead we did some menial stuff, then sat at the firepacle and had a few beers.

Back to the in-game thread...

I read that on Sunday evening. I am sorry, I didn't know you were injured. Sorry to here that young man. I hope for you a speedy recovery. Best wishes from Coach Crisp.

Thanks, 2.  I lay down most of the morning.  By about 2:30 I went to visit friends.  I can't lift more than a bowl of jello, but I'm not hurting as long as I either stand or lie down.  It's getting better.
