Almost dinner time.  We're having grouper (Black Grouper) caught this morning, plus sashimi (tuna caught this afternoon).  We also caught a mahi mahi (dolphin).  Stay tuned for the pic of that AND who caught it.

Happy New Year.

I'm trying to upload it now.
Williams Knife Co. (S. Carolina) has an oyster knife that caught my eye-- $75 tag on it but thought I'd run this past you first.
Anything on these guys, Chech?

I've never heard of them, but in general 2 rules of thumb:
1. custom knives are worth more the day you buy them than afterwards.  Like a new car.  Only exceptions are famous (Randall and a few others - of hundreds of custom makers).
2. in general oyster knives have a limited market for appeal.  I have a Russell one for sale; not many takers.  This one looks incredible, but still it's an oyster knife (few even know what they are).

Thanks. The oyster keys I've always used looked like someone used them for opening paint cans. I can't imagine the scenario for deciding to scuff up that knife for oysters, either. More of a conversation starter, but also maybe a future gift/bribe for one of my NOLA or Gulf Shores buddies. The magazine I keep on about has alot of stuff like that-- you "have to have" it but if you wait a day or two you'll find something else you "have to have" more. Kinda like women and shoes-- they buy them just so other women can't have them!

About to head out fishing again.  I just checked after an email exchange with LF.  She is battling a dead mouse in the wall.  She's removed the baseboard and pulled it out.  Score one for LF.

I hope for 2012:

Supercoach continues to maintain the best Tide Forum on the internet.

Leroy leaves the tanning bed cancer-free.

Chechem catches the biggest fish of his life.

CB and I will lose the weight we want.

Hannibel Lector and Marshal Dillon continue their quality posting.

Smitty and LF make it to Pensacola and learn to love it here as much as I have.

Kuiyam gets to watch his son win a National Championship.

Old Tider and Bamaphil continue to represent the Tide with class, overseas.

XBAMA will have no need for "Purple drank" this year.

Merk will give us a chance on the bowl picks.

Jamos will bag that "big one" and continue giving us his valuable insight on all things Bama.

Pmull does a better job of keeping his hair than I did, having raised daughters.

Coach Hank Crisp finds that perfect HO scale locomotive. (Oh yeah, keep the pm pics coming  Tongue )

Preacher Ricky keeps us down the straight and narrow, and gets relief from his back.

HSCoach continues to give us his top notch analyses on Bama football.

Yellowpup gets to become Yellowdog. JK.

Navychief successfully continues to help protect our country.

Clyde Goode gets well.

Terrie, MLB, and Breddy continue to give us perspective from the female POV and to keep us menfolk from getting too full of ourselves.

And speaking of menfolk, I hope WV's search for finding menfolk to bed the Big 10 women, is successful.

I know I left some of you out, but I'm getting carpal tunnel.

HAPPY NEW YEAR TO ALL OF YOU! RTR!
