I think I have only seen one guy pick UGA on ESPN.  I don't remember who it was, but it wasn't anyone that I pay attention to.

Probably Pollard, who played at Georgia.

It wasn't him that I saw.  I didn't recognize the guy.  I haven't seen who Pollack picked yet.  I did hear him say on the BCS Countdown show last Sunday that he thought Alabama could run the ball on UGA.

I used to like Pollard. He has become a total jerk.

Listened to Lee Stirling this morning and he picked Ga to win 27-24. Most other pundits are picking Ga. I am starting to feel better about this game because, looking statistically, Bama is the better team. Bama has the #2 run defense in the nation, Ga is at #67. Bama is the #5 pass defense, Ga is at #9. But the biggest thing is ints. Bama has forced 16 ints, which is not great but is better than Ga, which has only forced 10. Offensively, Ga & Bama are equal. Their passing stats and rushing stats are virtually identical. I feel like Bama will be able to run the ball on Ga whereas Ga will not be able to run on Bama. The biggest question is who will be able to pressure the QB and which QB will handle said pressure better. But I think Bama will be motivated and hungry, and will play mistake-free. I'm ready for a huge victory. Roll Tide!

Who is everyone? David Pollack & Buck Belue, two Georgia homers? And who the heck is Lee Stirling?

 Huh?

We need to make sure we are hating on the right former UGA player it is David Pollack. Pollard is our freshman basketball player.

Yep, thanks for the catch on Pollack. Our guy is Dante Pollard, who with his team will be playing  Cincinnati on Saturday. A great challenge for our BB team. I can not wait.

Lee Stirling is a national bettor who has a website for gamblers. He isn't always right but he's right a lot of the time. He comes on the Finebaum show and the morning show in Mtgy. Also many of the locals (al.com, montgomery advertiser) are picking Ga. I think most that pick Ga are doing so because of their recent defensive success. ALthough, as has been pointed out, their schedule the last few weeks has been wretched. Of course, they did put a significant beat-down on the national powerhouse of Auburn, so there is that.

I disagree with the OP that most pundits are picking UGA. I have seen very few picking UGA. Every bowl projection I have seen has us in the BCS CG and UGA in the Capital One.

^^^THIS^^^    Everyone on ESPN is saying Bama wins a tight contest. Trevor Mattich saif UGA would have more spectacular plays, but Bama makes the more important plays to win. Some goofball said Bama would have a hard time without Kenny Bell. Umm, excuse me, does the name Amari Cooper mean anything to you, genius?

3 huge keys to this game IMO:

1) Protect AJ
2) Contain Jarvis Jones
3) At least hurry AM often enough to keep him unsettled

Bama does this and it's a blowout.
