well i think the play calling was good most of the year but that A&M game eirks a lot of Bama fans.

I do think he helped AJ a lot.

I hope he stays.  I don't think we've seen the best he has to offer.  Injuries were somewhat limiting this year, and he was learning the Bama way of doing things.  Still we has more explosive, long plays than in the recent past.

Could be but I am thinking CNS assistants are in high demand.

Nussmeier not a candidate at Southern Miss

University of Alabama offensive coordinator Doug Nussmeier has not interviewed for the head coaching vacancy at Southern Miss and is not a candidate for the job at this time, sources close to the situation told The Tuscaloosa News.

The Crimson Tide’s first-year assistant coach was reported by the Hattiesburg (Miss.) American on Thursday as being among a group expected to take part in a series of interviews in an undisclosed location. That location, according to a source, is New Orleans, but Nussmeier wasn’t among those interviewed.

There is a lot of misinformation going around during these yearly coaching searches.  I think a lot of it has to do with reporters jumping to conclusions.

Exactly.  Maybe Southern Miss had him on their wish list and told the reporter we are going to start interviewing people on our list at a secret location, and then that morphed into "Nussmeier interviewing for Southern Miss".
