Last night proves beyond a shadow of a doubt that if you give Nick Saban 6 weeks to prepare for a game he will dominate his opponent. No one in the country is better at preparing his team, getting them focused, and making sure they know their role. It doesn't matter if Bama played Oregon, Ohio St, Florida St, or even a rematch with Texas A&M. If Saban has time to prepare, he cannot be beat. He did it to Clemson, Va Tech, Texas, LSU, Michigan, Michigan St, and now Notre Dame. He gets his team prepared and focuses their thoughts with laser intensity. I believe we will beat A&M next year in College Station because Saban will be preparing for that game all off season, just like he did against Michigan. Also, how wild is it that we finished the year the way we started it: 42-14 over Michigan, 42-14 over Notre Dame. Roll Tide!

Ooops. Just realized that Michigan score was 41-14. Oh well, off by one point.

Notre Dame was exposed last night for the pretenders that they are.  Oregon would have been shut down by Bama's D, and couldn't stop our offense.  Really, the only teams that could have stayed on the field with Bama all hail from the SEC.

Texas A&M is looking like the team to beat next year.  J.M. looked really impressive against OK, and they probably would have given us a good game last night if they played like that.  It is like the analysts say, you can scheme for what a team does, but it is hard to scheme against a player that can create on the fly.  And Kevin Sumlin had a great game plan against Bama in Tuscaloosa.  I think Bama would have beaten them last night, with everyone healthy, but it would have been more of a battle than ND put up.  With Bama losing much of its offensive line, next year will be tough.  It will depend on who comes back for TAMU -- let's hope those junior O-linemen go pro.  But you know Bama will be ready.  Bama has a bye week before TAMU (and LSU) next year, and plays TAMU early in the season, before injuries hit.  So it will be war.

Nick Saban's a great coach but didn't play a down last night.  BAMA's domination of Notre Dame was a team effort of players, assistant coaches, fans and administrators managed and motivated by Coach Saban.

I'm still a little disappointed by that holding call in the first half!

Right, one of the commentators said early in the game that our offense almost never was penalized for holding.

A&M's left tackle had declared for the draft.  Still waiting to see if Matthews will declare.  Some say he will move to left tackle to improve his stock.

Yep.  Also, the draft will have a few Bama linemen this year, so he might be better off waiting until next year.

The Los Angeles Times says Saban "lacks the fuzzy-warm personality that makes other coaches more popular, and it's sometimes hard to tell whether he's just won a national title or returned from the dentist's office."

That was the number one criteria for Mal when he hired Saban- finding a coach that he could share his feelings with.  Show me a football coach with a fuzzy-warm personality and I will show you a coach that allows the inmates to run the asylum.

Saban is always in touch with his feelings. It's just that his feelings tell him you better do your job right or you'll be feeling his foot up your a%#. LOL
