And if you take the last two digits of the year of your birth and add the age you are this year, the result is 111 (or 11 for anyone under the age of 12).

I like this.  The last time someone told me something like this it was 6/6/06.  It was supposed to be a bad day.  Not for me though.  I went to the Ford dealership to buy a new Mustang GT convertible.

No, that isn't spooky.  If you were trying to calculate how old someone was knowing their birth year, how would you do it?  Subtract the year they were born from the current year - i.e. 2011-birth year = age.  

So rearrange the formula and you have Age + birth year = 2011.  Since you're only using the last two years of the birth year, you're essentially removing 1900 years.  Thus age+birth year = 111.

No, he was busy selling all of the Shelby GT 500's on e-bay for 100K so I couldn't get one of those.  Dealers were actually doing this, I'm not making that up.

No, he was busy selling all of the Shelby GT 500's on e-bay for 100K so I couldn't get one of those.  Dealers were actually doing this, I'm not making that up.

FWIW: July has 5 Fridays, 5 Saturdays, and 5 Sundays. First time in 823 years.

Are you sure about that?  This should happen every time July 1st falls on a Friday, which should be once about every 7 years on average.  Leap year keeps it from being exactly every 7 years on a steady rotation, but it still should average out to every 7 years.

I did not look into it, just thinking out loud.  I'm not buying it.

IDK-- got it in a EM from an Oklahoma guy. Nice catch. I googled "Calendar July 2011" and did not find any link. Now I'll have to go back and check everything else this Sooner fan has sent.
