We won but it was so ugly and frustrating. Once again, it's the same pattern of offensive play, too much dribbling, passing, & standing around. Our half-court offense really sucks and Grant has to change it or try something else next year.

CAG coached the floor game as well today as I've seen. They took a waning seconds time out to set up a play before the 1st half ended. Gueye only had 10 minutes (still 8 minutes too much-JMHO), but he substituted well keeping hot hands in the game.  Used his time outs effectively. Still were lucky to win in regulation, giving up a 17 point 2nd half lead.

Frustrating to watch. But nothing else to try. New athletes, hopefully some help for Jacobs, for next season. But believe it or not, I am seeing progress in this team every game- since the Auburn debacle. RTR

Unbelievable last moment long distance shot, just ticks after I said our best hope was OT.

We nearly choked this game away, after leading the whole game, but Georgia turned it over on their last drive, and Releford hit a shot from beyond mid-court for the win.

Tennessee beat Missouri too?  That puts Bama at a number 4 seed in the SEC Tournament, which unfortunately is on the Florida side, but No. 5 is also on that side, so at least it gives us an extra bye.

Obasohan (wow, I finally spelled it right without first looking it up) also seems to be improving, playing more minutes, scoring more points, and putting together a few highlight reel moments on both O and D.  Pollard also seems to be getting more comfortable with the college game, and we will see more of him next year.  Three point shooting seems to have improved.   Even Gueye made a shot today.

More guys getting involved in the offense. Spreading the ball around more making it more difficult to defend and taking some of the defensive pressure off of Releford.

I was gong to say the play of Obashohan had shown progress, but I could not remember how to spell it.

I think we've found common ground, MD. Today was my first time, to bother spelling it out.

I heard Grant comment on Obasohan a couple weeks ago, that he'd shown a lot of growth and improvement as the year progressed and he'd be rewarded with more playing time.  He hasn't disappointed!  I think he's our 3rd best player at this point.

Laughing

keeping track of where the a's and o's go is the challenge, until you notice that they alternate.  and, there are only four consonants with none together, BSHN.

Making things more complicated, when CAG signed him, and when he played in Europe, he was known as Retin Ojomoh, not Obasohan.  So, we could just call him mojo.

"Who is Retin Obasohan? He is the freshman formerly known as Retin Ojomoh. He's from Belgium, but his parents are from Nigeria, and he has decided to go back to the Nigerian name."

Y'all are way too quick to annoint. He adds to the mix and is finally earning his keep a little. But that is all. Again, getting more guys involved in the offense takes a little defensive pressure off Releford, as evidenced in the last couple of weeks.

BTW, 9'GB scored 2 pts. with 3 PF, 0 reb., and 1 turnover. Reduced to 10 minutes of playing time. He almost caused a turnover from the bench because he can't learn to SIT DOWN and shut up.
