Tony Mitchell named NBA D-League Rookie of the year

Too bad Tony and CAG could not see eye-to-eye. We could have been a much better them this past year with him in the lineup.

Mitchell (6-6, 216, Alabama) played in 48 regular season games, 45 as a starter, for the Mad Ants, averaging a team-high 21.9 points to go with 6.4 rebounds, 2.7 assists, 1.4 steals and 35.3 minutes while shooting 42 percent from the floor and 32 percent from behind the three-point line. His 21.9 points per game was good for second in the NBA D-League.

Yes I totally agree but Tony being the student and CAG the teacher, I have to lean to CAG's side on this. The finality to me is, we pay them, so we have to let them coach their system, which Tony didn't seem to want to play in. JMHO. RTR!

I've suggested before that a big part of TM's attitude problem had to do with the amount of time wasted on 9'GB and Engstrom. They continue to be the worst misstake made by CAG.  He kept (persisted) trying to show some benefit for recruiting them.  It has cost us one season with no NCAA invite, because he refused to admit his poor judgment, in taking on a project with no gaurantee of a payout.  Imagine where we could be today, had he spent the time wasted on these two,-- instead developing Pollard, Cooper, and Jacobs.
