This article has a short video of AJ in this link that is worth watching. AJ knows he has to act right.

Quote
Alabama quarterback AJ McCarron tried unsuccessfully to wake his roommate, Texas A&M quarterback Johnny Manziel, at least one morning at the Manning Passing Camp, a source told ESPN.

As I suspect Little Johnny was so hungover AJ could not get him up.

I liked that chart at the end of the segment.  AJ needs to go 14-0 this year to take over the highest winning percentage for a QB.  I like his chances.

I knew it, it's all AJ's fault, along with the dead cell phone.

AJ should have stuck in his hand in warm water. That would have woke him up.

AJ should have at least shaved his eyebrows.

Assuming Manziel was even in the room when AJ woke up...  Apparently, not every morning.

What aggravates me is the jerk won't even take responsibility. He stated that McCarron did not wake him up. Was AJ supposed to be his nursemaid, plus Manziel was probably so hung over he would not have heard an elephant enter his room.

In Manziel's defense, he didn't say anything about AJ waking him.  A sleaze ball reporter asked him why didn't AJ wake him.  Johnny said it wasn't AJ's job to wake him up.  Manziel should not have missed the meetings on Saturday, but to me the more atrocious aspect of this incident is the way the press is constantly trying to stir up trouble.  Now they are saying that AJ was disrespectful to Manziel yesterday when he talked about striving to always be responsible.  AJ wasn't talking about Johnny Football at all, he was talking about AJ.  The press tried to bait him into saying something about Manziel, and he responded that they would have to ask Manziel those questions, Manziel was his own man, and AJ wasn't going to speak on his behalf.  The whole journalism industry is becoming nothing more than a bunch of shock jocks trying to stir up controversy to get people to click on their web site and read their vitriol.

At least the ESPN guys gave AJ kudos.  They said he stole the show at SEC media days.

Yellow journalism has infiltrated the sports world more than any other medium, it would seem, at least recently. AJ always does a good job of keeping his wits about him, as do most Bama players, when interviewed.

It really does get tiresome watching or reading about reporters trying to catch athletes with "gotcha" questions all the time.
