Phil and Scott on 11th tee (after rain delay):

Phil with a 4-iron.  It's a par 3 hole; Phil is on the green (20' away).... He sends the ball to the hole and PLOP (Birdie).
Adam hits a similar club, but pulls it far left.  Well, the delay hurt him.  He's in deep rough....  He digs deep for it, and hits a gem to within 3'.  Wow...  Par

Westwood is at -3.  Maybe he can melt down again this week.

The rain has softened the greens.  They're all throwing darts now.

Rory at -2.
Jimenez at -4.
Westwood at -3.
Justin Rose at -3.

Phil (+1) on fairway at 12th.
Justin Rose (-3) hits driver into the rough (he must be stupid too).
Adam Scott (-5) hits iron from tee, and splits the fairway.

Wind is dead.

Justin Rose and Phil both took HUGE divots on the 2nd shots.
Rose's was "like a mop head"; Phil's "like a NY strip".

Martin Kaymer holed an 8-iron for the first eagle of the tournament.

Par for Adam Scott on the 12th, but Phil got another birdie (10').
Phil at even par finally.  He was +3 after 4 holes.

Par-5 13th hole.

Phil with a 3-wood.  IT GOES FAR LEFT.  Cart path, near the creek.  No problem for 'The Thrill'.... Wow, it's almost touching the stones along the creek.  Only a lefty could play this..... Phil checks to be certain he won't hit a stone on the follow through, then swings a mighty stroke and WHACK, puts it on the fairway in play (whew, lucky  ).... Phil from 185 yards, 7-iron to left edge of the green (25' away for birdie).

Justin Rose in the fairway with an iron (he learned after blowing up that driver). ... Hits a high shot from 153 yards to within 10'.
Adam Scott with an iron; looooong and center cut. ... Big swing from 135 to within 17'.

Jimenez (The Cigar) still at -4 (saved par from 8' on the 14th).

13th: Scott just missed a birdie that would have moved him to -6.  Banging your head against the wall.

Short par-4 14th:

After pars for all 3 players, they line up to try again:

Phil with his 3-wood splits the fairway... chips up and putts in for birdie (-1).
Scott with a driver does the same... chips up and sinks the putt: -6.
Rose with a driver hits 30 yards short of the green... I don't know what he did.

Kaymer is -4 now.

I are dinner during the 3some play at #15.  Since their scores didn't change, I'll wager that they got pars.

#16 is a par 4.

Scott, Phil, and Rose were all around the green with their second shots.  Phil chipped to within 3'.  Scott with a long putt to within 4'.  They should all get pars.  But Adam Scott misses a short one, and gets a bogey: -5.

Rory blew a putt, and dropped to -1.
Kaymer dropped a shot: -3.
The Cigar (Jimenez) played 18 well, and has a chance at birdie there.  But he got a double bogey on 17, and is at -2 now.

I hope so.  I'll watch it, if there are TVs in Arkansas.

Par-4 17th:

Adam Scott missed right in the rough.  ... 2nd shot from there into rough just short of the green. ... Chipped to within 3'.  Par.
Phil on the fairway. ... 2nd shot a goodie, on the green to within 15'. ... Missed the birdie: par.
Justin Rose hit the fairway, and had a good approach too. Good lag: par.

Kaymer dropped another shot on the 18th: -2.
Vijay got a birdie at 18th to go even.

Tough par-4 18th.  Dead calm.  Long shadows.  This hole is 498 yards.  You've got to hit the fairway, and you need to be long.

Phil (-1) has a 3-wood, and sends it far right off the fairway.  Oops.  Banging your head against the wall.
Adam Scott (-5) misses the fairway.  Banging your head against the wall.
Justin Rose (-3) also in the rough, and drops down deep.  Banging your head against the wall.

Rory finishes at -1.

2nd shots:
Phil is blocked by trees.  May have to go over the trees.  Impossible?  He's looking it over, maybe low.  He's tempted to try going thru a small opening... This could be very bad if he misses... slams it straight into the trees - WHERE??  ... now he's going to pitch out from the rough (again) for his 3rd shot (par is 4)... now on fairway about 120 yards away... wedge is high and lands behind the hole, draws back to within 15' (for bogey).  This is just like Tiger (double at last hole). ... Phil rolls it over the lip: DOUBLE BOGEY for a +1 on the day.  Dumb dumb.  Banging your head against the wall.

Rose with hybrid... bunker next to green.  Should be okay... chips to 15'. ... Par?  No, bogey.
Adam Scott a boring good shot and chance to save par from 15'.    He's been the man today.  ...Here's his putt for par: PLOP (XLNT).

Zack Johnson back-to-back bogeys giving away shots.
