So, we have switched to Roku and internet broadcast for all of our television viewing.

This means we have no cable and that we are saving $80/month.

We do have an HD antenna for local broadcast channels.

Does anyone have experience with streaming live games from ESPN, or another site?

I do not mind paying for a subscription as long as service is reliable.

Trying to get this all squared away before 08/31/2013.

Thanks for the info.

I sometimes stream espn3. It is pretty good. Just remember the stream is a little behind the live action.

To stream watchespn.com you need to have an e-mail address attached to one of their affiliated internet/cable providers such as AT&T or Verizon.  If you don't have one but know someone who would let you use theirs that will work.

All CBS games are streamed live on cbssports.com free of charge or restrictions.

I'm curently using Slingbox which requires a one-time cost of $200-300 for the box and someone without hi-speed internet and cable/satellite willing to let you take over one of their TVs.

There are also some websites that stream live sporting events.  If you want to watch from the First Row I'm sure you could do some searching and find one.  Wink

I've lived in Asia for four years and haven't missed a game that I wanted to see.  I have slept through some of the Western Kentucky and Georgia Southern type games though.

There is a ROKU channel for a website called Justin T.V. If all else fails you can sometimes pick up a game you want on this ROKU channel. I don't think it is in the channel store. Google "ROKU channels" and you will find websites with lists of channels that are not officially posted on the ROKU channel store.

Justin T.V. is basically a "crowd thwarting" operation. Individuals with access to a video source can stream it through justin T.V. for free. The provider might insist that a particle stream gets shut down, but then someone else might start one.

The quality ranges from pretty okay to some dude pointing his smart phone at his CRT TV set. But if you are really jonesin, hay. There are also iPhone and iPad apps for justin TV in the event that some fool friend or relative decides to get married during football season and the Mrs. drags you away from the TV.

I've never had much luck with justin.tv.  I can rarely find what I want and if I do it's either so slow it's unwatchable or too many people are watching and I can't get in.  Could be because I was in China and Chinese internet is barely better than dial-up most of the time.  I haven't even tried justin in a couple of years though.

Thanks to all.

Tried watchespn.com, but did not work with TWC here.

I will keep looking around.

I will report back with anything of note.

Looks like TIDETV.

http://www.rolltide.com/allaccess/

$10/month, or $120/year.

It appears to cover all sports.  Every football game is listed.

Yes.

Yes.

Scratch that.

Upon further investigation only non-televised games are broadcast.

Replays, and pre/post game shows.

Still searching.

You may have to solve it on a game by game basis.  Some games will be easy because of the network they are on.

The solution to your searching is in my first post in this thread.  In four seasons and 1 game overseas I haven't missed a game yet.

Thanks for your help.

I watched all of the weekend's games, the ABC broadcast of Clemson v. UGA being the exception, on JustinTV and was satisfied with the outcome.

I added the "unofficial" JustinTV channel to my Roku and watched directly through my TV.  There was not a game I wanted to see that I was not able to watch.

I was originally looking for something that would guarantee me a quality HD connection, but that is not possible at this time without a cable subscription.

I am very interested to see what the SEC Network will look like in 2014.
