Running back T.J. Yeldon, wide receiver Amari Cooper, left tackle Cyrus Kouandjio, linebacker C.J. Mosley and safety HaHa Clinton-Dix helped Alabama lead the way with five first-team representatives. The Crimson Tide led all teams with 16 players on the coaches' three squads.

Applause E-Cred  Congrats to all 16 of them.

Sixteen is impressive.

Good QB's in the league when AJ is third team and the returning Heisman winner is second team behind first team Aaron Murray.

Those are three good QB's. I doubt UGA would trade Murray for anyone. I know I would not trade AJ.

I expected AJ to be second team and Murray third. JF getting first based on last year, not what I expect him to do this year.

DITTO pmull. When I saw Johnny Manzeil was 2nd it really shocked me. I was hoping he would be chosen as the NO. 1. It might keep up high but he will come down soon enough. RTR!

I was originally chapped by this, but then I bought that maybe AJ shouldn't be #1. These are about individual accomplishments, and you have to admit that AJ's job has been made infinitely more doable by the existence, year in and year out, of a run threat that had to be an every down concern for opposing defenses. And not a "oh they might convert a third and five" threat. I'm talking about a "mark/trent/eddy/TJ  might put this game away at any minute" threat. Murray has gotten his numbers with the D knowing he had to throw and not being particularly scared about being wrong.

I just don't think that Murray could have led Alabama to back-to-back BCSNCG wins like AJ has done.  That's why I think AJ is better.  AJ does the little things that allow other players to be good.

Exactly what I thought. AJ does all the little things to win that don't show up in the box score, and that is one reason among many that  Murray and Johnny Moron WON'T win a national title.

And I think AJ is a very charasmatic QB in the mold of Bob Grease and Tom Brady. Good things just seem to happen to those types of QB's, like winning championships.

Good points, fellas. I'd like to see someone ask AJ to comment on being ranked #3 and AJ just put three fingers up, each with a NC ring on it. "Three? You mean like this".
