He should have time to recover prior to the start of the season. He needs to continue to work on his conditioning while rehab on his shoulder.

Hopefully it is just a rumor. We need a healthy Nick Jacobs who is in shape this year.

Was he at an Atlanta Braves workout when it happened?

Sad  CAG can't catch a break.

Quote
Nick Jacobs has apparently dislocated his right shoulder.  He posted a pic of his arm in a sling to instagram and said he dislocated his shoulder.  No word on how long he will be out, but generally the recovery time for this injury is 4 to 12 weeks.  Obviously, this would be a huge loss if he can't play in November.

CAG needs to find him another good luck charm because the one he has sure isn't working. I can't believe this has happened. Angry

A dislocated shoulder is no fun, I've done it twice to mine. It really depends on how much damage was done before it was popped back in. Seems like my worst one was about 6-8 weeks. He should be fine by the start of the practice.

You know, poor coach Anthony Grant has no chance.  To balance out the karma in the Universe, the basketball program does best when football is down, and it is plagued with difficulties when football is hot.

It's no coincidence that Wimp Sanderson started coaching at the Capstone in the early 1980s, at the very end of Bear Bryant's career, and he left coaching in 1992.  (We all know what happened then).

Gottfried had his NCAA Elite 8 season in 2003, the Franchione to Mike Price to Shula deer-in-the headlights year.  It's no coincidence Gottfried left in the middle of the season in 2008 -- by then Saban was firmly in command.

For poor CAG, there have been no down football years.  Yes, 2010 may be considered a "down year," by Saban standards, and CAG almost pulled out an NIT Championship that season.   But them's slim pickins.

So this year, the basketball team can look great in Europe, but football season is about to start.  Nick Jacobs looks great until ::ouch:: opening week preparations.

Might as well watch football boys, it looks like we're in for a great season.

CM Newton's run in the 70's was pretty impressive. I remember the football team doing pretty well at that time too. There is no reason we can not be a consistent winner in both programs. Florida does it.

I also disagree the basketball team is in for a long season. I am looking forward to the season and think we will do well. You wrote us off in December last year. This year you do it in August?  Huh?

Nah, just joking around.  What I am thinking is:

Are you ready for some football!!

Because I sure am.
