Finebaum:  "Gene Chizik was the worst coach to ever win a national championship."

Discussing Aubs:  "They'll win 7 games this year, but Washington State is god enough to challenge them."

Me: "If WSU beats Aubrun today (in Auburn), in this heat and humidity, Aubrun should disband their team."

Agreed.  The heat and humidity should be a big home field advantage.  On a neutral site, it could be really close.  WSU is inland, so it is warmer there than on the coast -- upper 80s probably last week, but not nearly as humid.

Just chuckled to myself: "Heat and Humility".

4th quarter should be ugly.

You're right, CP, it's inland.  Been there.
It's not Seattle, but nothing can prepare a player to face the deep South's summer heat.
I don't know how any of us who practiced during August, without water (1960s mentality   Banging your head against the wall. ), survived.  It was a nightmare.

About 5 years ago I went to a hs reunion.  I had tears erupt when I saw the water cooler in the locker room.  It all came back to me.  We fought to get in line for it after running sprints at the end of practice.  Coach wouldn't allow us but one water cooler.  Red clay, dust, pea gravel, and choked lungs.  Never forget!

Good for you, Phil.  There's a lot more of it than there was in '09.

Indeed.  And there's a lot more ALABAMA on it than ever before.

"Alot".  Thinking of every time.

Luckily, none of my football coaches believed in the "no water" approach.  Huntsville is pretty scientific, so we got Kool-Aid flavored with salt.

I noticed Paul Finebaum said what we all really know. He said nobody could beat Alabama but Alabama. He also said that tOSU would not finish in the top tier of the SEC maybe in the middle. RTR!

Coach Saban:
"Well this is the most famous in-grown toenail ever known to man. It makes it more comfortable to be in a boot because his hard-sole shoes hurt his feet. But his cleats don't and he hasn't missed any practice, and I think he's fine for the game."

Great story and what a testament to/for AJ.  There are a few more Qbs out there that could learn a lesson.  I will take our Qb over a Heisman winner any day.
