Devotional 5/9/11 Romans 12:2

"Romans 12:2 And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind,"
Everyday we find Souls that need a renewing other than being fake. Today's world tells us it is ok to speak harm against someone, it is ok to hate someone because they are different.
Our minds are taught to believe this stuff. We need to teach our minds to listen and act upon Gods' word. Gods word tells us to be kind to each other, to love each other (a main commandment). We cannot renew our mind if we got to Church on Sunday and we get back to the Worldly ways on Monday. Your mind says shout and attend Church on Sunday but it is ok to drop it come Monday, that is not renewing your mind, that is playing Church which gets you nothing.
We have to many Preachers telling our people in Church that if you give money on Sunday and attend my chuch you will be ok. Well the truth is you won't be ok.
When you in your mind, want to harm someone because they have more than you or they have fun a little more than you, then your mindset is wrong. I Praise God today that he would touch each mind in the sight of my writings today. God Bless!

This verse and the one immediately before it are one of my favorite passages of all scripture. It basically says to let the way we live our lives be worship to God.

I've always been taught that going to Church doesn't guarantee you a ticket to the promise land ...

talk the talk and walk the walk so to speak ...
