I figured it out.  I bet it is because Washington State beat USC the next week after they lost to Auburn.

I think I've figured it out. It's done alphabetically. They are the only 3-0 team with a conference win, that starts with the letter "A".

The barn loss to LSU because of bad weather, LSU is the better team, Jay Jacobs is their AD, REC, Ref's cheated, they are too young, trees are dead the pressure of being # 1.
