Well, we are deep into the season and I'm wondering who you all think is on the hot seat. Here are my choices.

Charlie Weis Kansas- I can not believe Kansas will keep this guy around after two HORRIBLE years.
Jim Grobe Wake-He is .500 after many years there. Is that good enough at Wake, probably.
Dana Holgorsen W. VA.-He is barely over .500 after 3 years, but West Virginia fans think they have an elite Top 10 program. Does he get one more year or more?

Gary Pinkel Missouri-He probably gets at least another year, unless they lose a couple more games.
Bo Pelini Nebraska-Personally, I think he is toast unless Nebraska wins out
Steve Spurrier USC-After 9 years he has ZERO championships to show for the effort after so many expectations. How warm is his seat?

 Huh?

No Mack Brown?  You must think he actually is going to win the Big 12.  Huh?

I don't think Pinkel and Spurrier have anything to worry about.

I have friends in Nebraska and I know they are ready to get rid of Pelini.

Norm Chow at Hawaii is stinking it up.
Paul Rhoads at Iowa State has only won 1 game.
The new So Miss guy has the same 0'fer record Ellis Johnson had.
Virginia, Indiana & Purdue all need new coaches. I have no idea who coaches them now.

No way that Gary Pinkel  or Spurrier are on the hotseat.  USCe loves OBC almost as much as the Gators did/do... Pinkel turned Missouri around from worst to first in the SECe so he's good for at least a couple more years...

I don't know what to think about his status. He was toast a few weeks ago but since he beat Oklahoma and keeps winning he will probably squeeze out another year. He's like Tuberville &  Richt, he does just enough to keep his job.

I would agree with that. USCe had to aspire to be mediocre before Spurrier got there, something even Lou Holtz couldn't do. He's made them into a good team and as long as he continues to beat Clemson, fans will love him.

Pinkel has Mizzou playing decent football for the first time in years. Even if he loses a couple more games, I think he will hang around.

Jabba the Hut will be canned by Kansas at year's end.

I think Muschamp needs to be worried, as well.

You are dead on concerning Muschamp. Maybe Texas will still want him because Mack Brown will have to win out to keep his job and I don't think that will happen. But on the other hand, maybe Texas can be happy with mediocrity.

I forgot to mention Muschamp, but his fanny is warm, not hot. Next year will be a key year for him, but he he needs to get an offense.

If the Gators somehow pull out a win over the Dawgs then Muschamp is safe...this year.  Another year like this and he's gone for sure...

The Florida offense is ranked 106th nationally.  This is the 3rd year in a row that they're ranked over 100th.  That's turrible.

I think he gets the boot if they lose to UGA.

He probably does have 1 more year if he can keep winning.  Their AD retires next August, and the new guy will probably wait until the end of the season to fire him.

What about Dan Mullen? Does he get a pass for another year?

Probably. It is Miss. St. after all.

Actually, you are right. I would think his seat is a little toasty. They are usually happy if they go bowling, which they did last year. Maybe not, this year. I think they will give him another year anyway.

The reality for MSU is that they are MSU. An 8 win season is like an 12 win season at Alabama, Georgia, Oklahoma, etc. Who would they get to replace him? They have awful facilities, no recruiting base, and nothing to really hang their hat on. It's a very tough situation. Unless Mullen starts losing more than he wins, he will be safe.
