"Well, this is a good little team, now," Alabama coach Nick Saban said on his radio show Thursday. "I know everybody thinks I say that about everybody, but in their division for what they do and who they play, they could be undefeated. I think they're like 8-3 and they lost two or three really close games.

"I mean, we played them here before and they were tough and physical. It was a grind out kind of a game, and I know we eventually won pretty handily, but there wasn't anything easy about it."

I was planning on going to see my youngest daughter and go to the UNA Div II playoff game but my wife thinks the weather is going to be nasty. I will listen to Eli.

I love sports for the moments. My favorite moments are the "one last" moments. The bitter-sweet last games, and the small miracles the sometimes occur in them. Ted Williams last at-bat. Jack, age 46,  walking up the 18th at the masters. Flutie put in to drop-kick on his last down in the NFL, allowing him to score in every way there is to score points according to the NFL rulebook, and nailing it. You know it's over, but maybe, just maybe, there can be one last....

I have 100 reasons not to go to this game today, but I am going because of the seniors. I am going because some kid might see the field for the first time in his last game at BDS, because some kid who never scored will pick 6. I'll go for the bitter-sweet moment when our champions will come off the field, cross over that white sideline, never to cross back over in the crimson helmet with the white stripe.

I don't care who they are playing. I'm going to be there.

Yep.  The ESPN PPV you bought is $25, but I know from past experience that it is blocked in Alabama.  I bought it in the past and wasn't able to watch it, then had to find it on the other channel and pay the $40.  I had to call to get them to refund my $25 for the blacked out channel.
