Happy for those guys!  I always thought when they went into the Hall I'd make the trip up to Cooperstown for the ceremony, but SE Asia to Cooperstown is quite the trek.

And going in with Bobby Cox. Braves will be well-repreented. Plus, next year John Smotz will be eligible for the HOF & Chipper Jones in 3 years.

No way! He was a first round draft pick by the Braves out of HS and played for them over 17 years.

He played 11 years for the Braves, won 3 Cy Young Awards, and a World Series.

He played 7 years for the Cubs, won his first Cy Young award and had his only 20 win season before coming to the Braves. He left the Braves and returned to the Cubs for 3 more years. I am not sure it is a slam dunk he will enter as a Brave. I acknowledge he had his best years as a Brave.

Everyone associates him with the Braves. Glavine & Maddux are like salt & pepper, they go together.

A Cub website is saying his plaque will show him with a Braves cap.

Greg Maddux Hall of Fame plaque will have a blank cap (no team logo). Braves fans may not like it but I think it is a classy decision by one of baseball's good guys.

Quote
“My wife Kathy and I grew up in baseball in Chicago, and then we had just an amazing experience in Atlanta with the Braves. It's impossible for me to choose one of those teams for my Hall of Fame plaque, as the fans of both clubs in each of those cities were so wonderful. I can't think of having my Hall of Fame induction without support of both of those fan bases, so, for that reason, the cap on my Hall of Fame plaque will not feature a logo.”
