ESPN and NBC are also reporting Vinnie will enter the NFL draft. I hate to see him go. That makes 5 juniors leaving early.

There are too many juniors leaving when they are not ready. I wonder what they are being told in their meetings with coach.  Tinfoil Hat

Saban always says he encourages students to come back for their senior season unless they're projected as a First Round pick.  I think Sunseri could improve his stock by coming back.

I don't understand this one but he must know something that no one else seems to know. He will be missed.

He is projected as a 2nd / 3rd round pick this year. If he comes back and stays healthy he could improve his stock. If he comes back and gets hurt again he can kiss the NFL good bye. I think he made a business decision that removes the risk.

I hadn't heard where he was projected to go and it does make sense if he is projected that high. I wish him the best.

I think you are spot on. Vinnie will be missed greatly, but he must believe the possibility of a career-ending injury in college outweighs the positives of coming back. I think VS could be a good pickup for someone looking for a hard-hitting safety.

Personally, I don't see him as a starting safety in the NFL. More likely to be on the special teams as a regular.

I don't think Vinnie made the right call there...

Maybe his GF is pregnant.

I agree with several other posters, I just don't think he is ready and I see him as a 4th round pick, at the very best.

I hate to see him go, period. He will not be a high round pick, if he is drafted at all. I realize the fact that he would like to avoid further injury, but I don't see this as a wise decision on his part. I hope I'm wrong, but think not.

At any rate, we will miss his aggressive play and leadership.

Tough decision; he might not play had he stayed, nor will he likely play in the NFL.

Based on this year, I would say that Vinnie is more prepared to go pro than Cyrus, Dix, Pagan, or Hubbard, but that's just me.
