The best bet for a signing day surprise in Tuscaloosa may be in the form of a flip from five-star Miami defensive end commitment Chad Thomas, who tweeted that his official to Tuscaloosa last weekend was the "best visit ever."
The Crimson Tide made a run at five-star River Ridge (La.) John Curtis receiver Malachi Dupre, a friend of recent Tide commit Marlon Humphrey, but LSU still leads and Florida State - not Alabama - is probably the Tigers' top competition. Dupre also visited UCLA last weekend.
Four-star Bellflower (Calif.) St. John Bosco offensive guard Damien Mama also still lists Alabama among his favorites, but the Crimson Tide already has six offensive linemen committed in this class and Mama is likely to stay closer to home and go to USC...
More likely, "NO SURPRISES".
