It should not have been this close. The barn only got three hits. they benefited from 3 Bama errors, 5 walks and 1 hbp. They scored two earned runs on a home run with the runner on base due to a walk. Throwing errors caused the third run.

Alabama had 11 hits and left 9 on base. Seven different players had hits with 4 of those getting two hits. We had no extra base hits.

Still it was a good win. Since this early non SEC game with Auburn has been moved to Montgomery we were 0-5. It is good to break that streak.

Thanks, pmull. I do know that Auburn was 1 for 8 with RISP. Looks like we still make too many errors and still not much pop in the bats, too.

However, I'm glad we won. First time ever in that venue, as you said.
