Imagine if that game had not gone into overtime. Thousands of fans would have been leaving the dome and outdoors when the storm hit. I am sure it was frighting inside the building but it would have been much worst outside.

I get so sick of the crap I hear about coaches who obviously can't coach. Barbee has averaged 12 wins a year in 4 years. When he asked about his future he said they were laying the foundation. Averaging 12 wins a year is laying the foundation for failure. Naturally, the announcers made excuses and said he had a (singular) freshman coming in next year. I doubt Barbee will be a head coach anytime in the next 10 years or longer.

They just announced in the Vandy/MS State game that they would have "breaking news on Auburn Basketball program."

WOW! Talk about a classy move, fire the coach on the road at the hotel. It's obvious the Barn was totally dissatisfied with Barbee and I can't blame them with the awful teams he produced. Maybe something happened at the hotel and the AD fired him instead of getting back to Barn. Maybe Barbee wanted an extension.

Barbee signed 21 players in his four signing classes at Auburn; Of those 21, only 9 remain on the roster, and five of those just finished their first year in the program, putting Auburn's APR at risk. The reasons for those departures ranged from disciplinary issues to disagreements with Barbee's coaching style and included one high-profile scandal at the end of Barbee's second season on the Plains.
