That is the one that annoyed me the most.
93 is a joke. They did not win the conference, did not play in the SEC Championship Game, did not play in a bowl game and they were on probation.
With the barn standards we could claim several more.
I've heard barners say the same thing about us... rightfully so too...
Can you tell me what year we we claim a championship that we did not win the conference, did not play in a bowl and were on probation?

This is the one claim I do not agree with. Although we did play in a bowl game and won it we did not win the Conference. Finished third.
I don't see how any Alabama fan can claim 1941 and do not understand why we claim it. However, we did not win our conference, we did play and win a major bowl (cotton was major at the time) and we were awarded the championship by a legitimate organization. There are many teams that claim championships prior the the AP and UPI becoming the standard.
The barn's claim to 93 is a joke. Their claim to 83 is flawed as well. They felt they were robbed and maybe they were but teams do not claim championships after the AP and UPI became the standard unless it was actually won. We got robbed in 66 but we do not claim it because we were not awarded it by the AP or UPI.
