Jaclyn Traina almost made it boring.

Through six innings, Alabama's ace simply gave Kentucky no shot to make it interesting Friday night. Then came the seventh and the Alabama crowd nearly had a heart attack.

I know, three hits, bases loaded in the bottom of the 7th with no outs, then a K and double play for the win.  


Traina never seemed rattled.


Bama and Florida are now one win away to make it to the Championship Series.  Next game on Sunday.

I believe Alabama became only the 2nd team east of the Mississippi to win the WCWS in 2012 (Michigan being the other).  Now we have two SEC teams in the finals just two years later.  The balance of power is shifting in college softball.

True.  We beat them 2/3 in Gainesville.  This Florida team looks strong and deserve to be in the Championship Series.  I think both teams are playing better now than before.
