E-Cred Updates

[SUPERCOACH]

I just awarded everyone who is currently signed up +10 E-Cred for being here on the first day.  Then I gave +10 more to my mods.  I also gave BAMADCHAMPSHIPS another +10 for being the first person to actually register.  Terrie1959 gets +10 for being the first person to post (besides me).  Finally, ricky023 gets +10 for being the first person to start a new topic.  I think that is all for now.  I may give the entire forum another +5 tomorrow night as a bonus for the ones that sign up tomorrow.

E-Cred is a reputation system that is displayed next to your avatar.  Anyone can give you +1 E-Cred by clicking the Applaud link.  They can also take away 1 point by clicking the Boo link.  So you better be on your best behavior out there.   

I don't know how useful it will be, but it seems like a good idea.  We may have to make some tweaks to how it works as we go along.

I will eventually add a box next to the Top Posters box that shows the people with the most E-Cred.

This is the first time I have seen one exactly like this, but I have seen "reputation" systems before.  They are complicated because the more rep you have, the more people get when you give them some.  Anyway, it's interesting as long as gangs dont form.

I got into it with a guy on a message board one time and before I knew it about 50 people had given me negative reputation and I was so low I couldnt even post in all the forums.  I was like WTH??

Thank you, I certainly did not handle every situation perfectly.  But I tried, we all took a lot of flack.  Anyway, no reason to rehash all that, it's a new day in a new pacle.
