Do I find her guilty or will the jury find her guilty? What level of guilt-- on what charges will she be found guilty or innocent?

On your layman's level, for the purpose of this thread, - I think she is guilty but will not be convicted, except on the various charges of lying to the cops or false statements. Hung jury on the murder charges.
Man, that BAMAWV is one smart cookie. I'm going to start reading his posts more often!

I gave WV a # for being right, but my heart is broken for that little girl. She was murdered by her mother who will rot in hell, but there is no justice for Kaylee. I hope the jurors struggle with their decision for the rest of their lives.  Sad

I respectfully disagree.  The laws are cut and dried.  The jurors followed the laws.  The prosecution did not prove guilt beyond a reasonable doubt.  The jurors have to follow this law so that innocent people will not be convicted.  They cannot blame themselves.

It was telling that Casey's parents walked out of the courtroom just after the verdict instead of going up to Casey and hugging her.  It is so obvious that she had something to do with the murder.  Her parents know she did.

A big deal was made that the "reasonable doubt" came about because all the evidence was circumstantial. Circumstantial evidence CAN'T be dismissed or downplayed, because it is as important as physical evidence when there is enough of it, and there was more than enough to convict her.

It's sad and a terrible shame.  Not even enough words.

I think Casey will meet the same kinds of fate as O.J. Simpson and others like him.  She will live a tormented life and won't have any peace or real happiness. That's worse than dying really.

I agree CP. The worst thing is that she will be wealthy as a result of book and movie deals. I hope she chokes on that money.

I had already decided she was quilty from three years of Fox News reports. I still believe she is quilty. I did not watch the the two month trial but I did see some of the closing argument presented by the prosecution this weekend. If the prosecution did as bad a job during the trial as they did with the closing argument I can see how the murderer got off. In my opinion justice was not served today.

Amen brother. No vindication of any kind for Kaylee Anthony.

Unless someone pulls a Goldman family here and files civil suit, prohibiting her from profiting off of the child she murdered.

Unfortunately, no other family was affected to step in and file that suit. I hope maybe someone will step up to do that anyway.

I believe that someone as evil as Casey Anthony appears to be will meet with misfortune in other ways.  She will attract it.

I see here one thing, when 12 of your piers find you not guilty in America the person is still guilty. Why? Because nobody likes how they picked it to go.
What should we do to get our Justice system right? Should we ask at the jury selection do you think the party is guilty? If they say yes, ok that is who we want, so then every party no matter who she or he was would be guilty no use for court.
What if you here was in court you would be automatically innocent right? So 12 of your piers would be wrong no matter if they had a picture of proof.
So my question is what should we do in Amercia, should we do it like 3rd world countries?
This woman has to live with it or not with it, for the rest of her life. Should not the State have proved their case if they didn't should we shoot them?
I do believe from heart those 12 jurors saw it a lot more closely than any of us. I believe from what I hear as the counts was read, they got it right. How can I doubt them?

I agree with you in principle, ricky, but I do still think there was enough evidence to convict, from what I understand. I still think that one of the elders at my church has got the right idea, that we should be leaning much more on biblical jurisprudence, where at one time it was enough to have two witnesses agree to observing the infraction in question. Obviously the Bible has many more rules regarding the legal system (see Leviticus and Deuteronomy), but if such a mandate satisfied the Lord's justice, then it should men as well.

I think the prosecution did not prove "murder" over "accident" beyond a reasonable doubt.

How can you convict someone of murder if you are not 100 percent sure there was a murder?  The body could have been disposed of after a fatal accident.  The duct tape doesn't make that likely....but who will ever know what really happened.
