Casey Anthony Trial To The Jury

I'm not a lawyer or a judge but I believe that casey just got away with murder. One of the jurors said that if the charge hadn't been 1st degree, they probably would've convicted her.  They HAD the option to convict for less than 1st degree.
I'm just shocked that they deliberated 10 hours, never asked for clarification of anything nor to review evidence - just unbelievable.

Taking what Terrie said into consideration, (and I am not one to fold tinfoil hats, by the way) but something smells here. And it ain't the public bathrooms at the barn.

The jury was not bound to only a guilty verdict for 1st degree murder. They could have gone for 2nd, 3rd or manslaughter. The ignorant bastids went for none of the above.

This type of rhetoric may end up getting these law abiding citizens hurt. You can only begin to judge if you heard every bit of the trial and sequestered yourself from outside influences. But if you are basing your personal verdict on the nightly recap by Nancy Grace, you may wish to rethink your admonishment of a group of civic minded Americans that did not shirk jury duty, but instead gave a month of their life to our judicial process.

What you have pointed out here is correct. It's the American judicial system at work, the way it was designed, 12 jurors making the decision and they did indeed make their decision. I just don't happen to agree with it and as a result have voiced my feelings, but as a wise man once said on this forum, "It's time to let it go", so I'll have nothing more to say on the subject.

Shep on FOX just said that a video (made in December 2008)will soon be released of Casey Anthony being told that little Caylee’s body had been found. This evidence was locked away during the trial because it would have been too inflammatory.

Today, juror #12 quit her job and has left the state of Florida due to the intense reactions of her co-workers.  Her husband doesn't know when she is coming back.

Wow on both accounts. Even though I question the decision they made, those 12 people had a tough job to do and it is sad commentary on our society to see someone who was just doing their civic duty have to quit their job and move due to such backlash. I feel for the lady and hope this nonsensical reaction toward her and the other jurors subsides soon.
