This was tantamount to one of us making this statement:  "When are you going to shut up about the way I drive my automobile and go back there and get in that big gray Ford and leave me the heck alone, Mr. State Trooper!?"   (this approach has proven to be unwise)

Years ago I was in a car with my boss and he told me the story of when he was pulled over by a New Jersey state trooper for speeding. The trooper was lecturing him about speeding when my boss looked up at him and said "Look, either give me a lecture or a ticket, I ain't taking both". I don't have to tell you which one he ended up with.

Why do they touch the left rear quarter panel when walking up to a pulled over car?  They all do it, must be a reason.  My guess is to see if the driver jumps?

DitchDoc knows. I saw him allude to it on TS.

Makes sense.

New article of Chizicks bonehead move.

Gene Chizik pushed the wrong button in the wrong setting with NCAA
Quote
BIRMINGHAM, Alabama -- In the long history of New York Times stories about Auburn, the latest article ranks low on the pecking order in terms of actual news.

It's not a surprise the NCAA would tell Gene Chizik that its investigation into Cam Newton isn't over. What's striking is the detail captured in the exchange -- and that the account has now left a hotel conference room in Destin, Fla.

Why would Chizik grill NCAA Vice President for Enforcement Julie Roe Lach in front of every SEC football coach, men's basketball coach and athletics director at the SEC spring meetings?

According to the Times, Chizik complained that the open-ended nature of the inquiry had hurt Auburn's recruiting. He wanted to know why the NCAA had not publicly declared the investigation over.

for the General:   they touch the car to leave their fingerprint on the car in case something really bad goes down and later it is evidence that ties that car to that cop and incident.    (siap)

Well no matter how the investigation goes against Aburn there is one thing they can never accuse Gene Chizik of: Being Smart! RTR!

Strongly agree. I have never been impressed with his smarts. His news conferences are stilted and he seems not quite all there. This makes him the perfect puppet for Dye, Lowder, Jimmy Ranes, and the rest of the crew running Auburn.

This explains why DitchDoc stopped short of telling the reason when this subject came up on TS.  Applause E-Cred to Rueben for protecting the "Boys in Blue".

This situation is about as stupid as it gets. Barners should be angry with Chiznik for insulting their normal level of stupidity.

From TiderInsider:

The tidbit/chunk........... Sabama 2011-07-15 18:13:15
First off a little background on my source. This is a man who is a very serious person. He is hesitant to talk and not given to casual banter. In the 6 years I have known him he has never offered any "scoop" and I have only gotten 1 inside comment from him in that time which was as you may remember I posted "JJ and MI good to go" which of course turned out to be true. Today I asked him if he knew anything and after a few hesitant minutes he told me that he has heard the following from as he said "someone who would" know.

He said that Auburn situation is "nuclear" and that they have them on paying players, bank fraud, and wait for it ..."trafficking in prostitution. Also heard that media and NCAA are working together which of course is good news.

Trafficking in prostitution? No wonder they wanted us all to be focusing on trees.
