What a football player and yet he's hardly mentioned for the Heisman. Huh?

See the quote from Butch Jones:

"He's done that to everyone," Tennessee coach Butch Jones said. "He should be up there for the Heisman trophy."

If he played in the Big 10 he would be the leading candidate right now. Wink

Prolly true.
Speaking of regional politics, did you see 'College Football Final'?  Lou Holtz was trying to argue that only the conference champions should be in the playoffs, PLUS (of course) Notre Dame!

No I didn't but I've been expecting Holtz to start ringing Notre Dame's bell. I doubt that there will every be a "right way" to make these selections because of the many biased opinions of the sports media world that weigh so heavily on the outcome of who plays in the playoffs. It's just about like the Heisman vote.

He's never stopped ringing the ND bell.  I agree with you, the choices of 'top-4 teams' will be a mess.

That's especially true this Tuesday.  How will the committee rank the SEC-west teams?  So many head-to-head games left yet.

Is Miss State #1 still?  They looked very vulnerable.  Too much football left in the SEC for any rankings.  Of course, FSU, Michigan State, and Oregon are coasting toward the playoffs -- their fans are promoting them already.  And WV is getting some love now as a 'top-4 team'.

During the game last night I saw the scroll across the bottom of the screen read that Marshall's conference has hired a PR firm to promote them as a team that should make the playoffs this year...

Our earlier win over WV is looking better every week as the mountaineers get it done. Thank you couch burners.

I don't blame them. They came from behind to beat mighty FAU yesterday.

Marshall is in no one's conversation. They are delusional.

Thanks for the pics Chech. E-cred for posting them.  Applause E-Cred
