HOOVER, Alabama - Nick Saban will coach his fifth season at Alabama.
The unofficial start was Friday morning at the Wynfrey Hotel where Saban moved throughout the building for various interviews at SEC Media Days.
Alabama was selected by the attending media to win the SEC West with nine league-high nine All-SEC first-team selections.
In regards to one question about being projected to be No. 1 in at least one top-25 poll, Saban said bluntly, "It doesn't matter."
Ultimately, Saban preaches the importance of teamwork and how it could impact each season.
"It's always a challenge to have the right kind of team chemistry, your team have the right stuff," Saban said. "I feel like this team has the ingredients for that, but that's always the challenge, because the consistency and performance is what helps you have successful seasons, especially in a league that's as challenging as ours in terms of the number of good teams."
